HOW DO I HANDLE CHRISTMAS VACATION?

WHAT IS CHRISMAS?

Before I tell you about my Christmas Vacation I would first tell the things I learn about christmas and why doesn't we celebrate it?

History of Christmas.

Have you ever wonder the where Christmas really came from? Well you know Christmas is one of the most popular holidays around the world, and you might say that Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, but actually Christmas is connected with pagan worship. Actually December 25 is the birthday of the invincible sun of Rome where daylight increases, Caesar Julian recommended the games that were celebrated at the end of the year in honor of the unconquered sun,so during their celebration pagans exchanged 
gifts and feasted – which Christmas preserved. 
Church leaders wanted more pagans to become Christian, so even though that Jesus was not born on December 25 they decided to celebrate Jesus birth on that day, so pagans would join the church. Even the Disciple of Jesus did not celebrate Christmas. 
According to the Sacred Origins of Profound Things in the 200 years after the birth of Jesus “no one knew, and few people cared, exactly when he was born.”

As a Jehovah Witness we don’t celebrate Christmas because of its pagan origin. So respectfully refuse to join any activity on Christmas. That’s why we don’t attend Christmas parties, Noche Buena and other Christmas activities.

How did I spend my Vacation?

Because we don’t celebrate Christmas, I kept myself busy reading, surfing net, eating, 
and most importantly sleeping. I really grab the opportunity to sleep
 a lot because I remember my sleepless night last, 1^st semester because 
of projects, requirement, deadlines, dance class, and many more so
 I reward myself to recover my lost sleep it was really worth it, sleeping is the best. 
But don’t worry I also make my vacation productive somehow 
by helping my mom in the kitchen, helping dad on some of his activities in house
 and I make quality time with my sibling I also spend time with my friends.
 This December on of our closest friend got married, this December 23, 2016. We are so happy that she finally meet the guy who would be with her forever.So that marriage kept us also busy we help her with their marriage. Dad who is in the Right Corner of picture is one of their witnesses while me and my sister who is wearing a flower head dress is one of their entourage. My mother who is on the right side of my sister is also a witness. 
We don’t able to have an out-of-town vacation because our house is under construction 

LOOKING FORWARD

where a new room is being build. And 2 more Bathroom is being constructed.  For me it’s okay because I still have requirements to be settled. Dad said that we would go out-of-town at the end school year. We are actually considering to go to bicol on summer, because one of our closest family friend invited us to go there. Oh by the way

I turned 17 on December 26, 2016 – 1 more year then I would enter legal age – We also Don’t celebrate birthdays by the way you could visit www.jw.org for information why doesn’t we celebrate legal fiesta’s 
and holidays, you can actually read many publication there in any language you want. 5 more days before the continuation of tge 2nd semester and I am still working with my school requirements. 
I am quite excited to see my friends in school and looking forward for the new things 
that I would learn.



 In addition to my vacation experience on of my most unforgetable moment is when me and my friend go out for a date. ( I mean sisterhood date) hahahahha. She is one of my closest theater mate. It was December 26 we get out not because of my birthday but because we just want to hahahaha.

  We went to pasig and walk and walk and we look the view, then we get tired walking we decided to ride a jeep going to pateros while traveling we decided to go to north edsa that time, so we ride a jeep going to guadalupe then we ride MRT, it was actually her first time to to tide a MRT. Hahahah quite special. Hahaha.

  Then we drop off heading SM north EDSA then we just their at a fastfood chain. Then we decided to dare ourselve, such as we would sing infront of a crowd. We would ask random people to have a picture with us. Hahahahhaha that was my favorite part of our trip. Hahahha then we after that we ride MRT heading Guadalupe station. We drop off then we bought a pair of jacket. Then we go ride a jeep that would bring us to pateros then we met our friend their and we have a small talk and we get home. It was 11:30 in the evening when we get home.
